I really like the smooth feel of these old darning mushrooms. I have them from different sewing baskets I picked up in the last years. The one that is painted with flowers was a souvenir from Olanesti, a Romanian mountain resort with water springs and spas, very much liked in Socialist times. It’s from 1955.
I have a large collection of scissors (I have some more that are not pictured here), all of them vintage and thrifted. The most interesting one is the old German button hole scissor. Although clearly marked, I wasn’t able to find out more about it. It was in the same basket with the old pattern tracer wheel, that has a smooth wooden handle.
Linking up with Vintage Bliss Tuesdays.
